Kappa Sigma fraternity victim of potato pelting
Kappa Sigma fraternity, 255 Highland Ave., was the target of what police speculate was an "Irish protest" early Monday morning.
Several tenants of an apartment on the same block allegedly pelted the house with potatoes, although the motive behind the ambush is still unclear. State College Police Department Sgt. John Wilson speculated the attack might have been related to St. Patrick's Day.
Wilson said while the suspects have been identified, no charges have been made. However, a 105-pound bag of potatoes was apprehended from them.
Although no damages or injuries were reported, police are still investigating the incident.
Kappa Sigma members could not be reached for comment.
