Five USG tickets file for candidacy
During the next two weeks, bulletin boards on campus will be covered with the 10 faces of the Undergraduate Student Government presidential and vice presidential candidates who announced their candidacies yesterday.

School board debates discrimination policy
More than 100 people attended a public forum held by the State College Area School Board last night to discuss adding the term "sexual orientation" to the district's nondiscrimination policy at Mt. Nittany Middle School, 656 Brandywine Drive.

Three more years to shine for swimmer Molettiere
Bob Molettiere is a member of the first Penn State men's swimming and diving team to win the Big Ten Championships -- the first team to break the team record of 9-1 with a 10-1 regular-season mark -- and he was the only individual winner at Big Tens for Penn State.

Lady sluggers cruising after rough opening
The Penn State softball team continued to rebound from a 1-5 opening to the season by going 7-2 last week. Included in the squad's busy week were two victories against Ball State, a 1-2 showing in three games against Central Michigan and two consecutive wins versus Georgia State and Princeton.
