Lady sluggers cruising after rough opening

The Penn State softball team continued to rebound from a 1-5 opening to the season by going 7-2 last week. Included in the squad's busy week were two victories against Ball State, a 1-2 showing in three games against Central Michigan and two consecutive wins versus Georgia State and Princeton.

Coach Robin Petrini's team spent the last three days of spring break playing in the Tallahassee Democrat/Florida State Invitational. There, the Lady Lions went 4-1 to push their season tally to 11-9. Shortstop Terra Pracht grabbed an individual honor, being named to the All-Tournament Team at her position.

Next up for the Lady Lions is the Virginia Invitational, to be held March 26-27.
