Gymwomen take first in four-team meet
The Penn State women's gymnastics team took first place with a score of 195.95 at the Boise State Pavilion March 8. In the four-way meet, host Boise State was second with a season high 195.75, Southeast Missouri State placed third with 194.125 and San Jose State was fourth with 191.5. The Broncos' 195.75 was the second highest team score all-time for all of Boise State. The Broncos also set a school record on bars with a 49.375 for the team, including a school record-tying 9.95 by Diana Loosli, followed by 9.925 by Kelly Martin, a 9.875 by Kelly McEgan, a 9.825 by Annie Kaus and a 9.8 by Kerry Jacobson. Loosli won the bars competition with her school record score, while teammate Jessica Berry won the beam competition with a 9.925. Loosli and Berry also combined for a second-place tie on the floor, each posting a 9.9. Loosli was also the Broncos' top all-arounder with a second place finish of 39.425. Penn State's Ellen Casey won the all-around with a 39.525 and the floor with a 9.975. Teammate Gemma Cuff won the vault with 9.
