Preliminary Hearings
BELLEFONTE -- State College resident Horace Haughton, 23, was bound over for trial yesterday on charges of simple assault, criminal trespass and harassment and stalking. The charges stem from a February incident in which Haughton and a female acquaintance argued at the woman's residence, according to court documents. Haughton allegedly held the woman down on her bed. When she was able to get up, she went to the bathroom. Haughton followed her and allegedly threw her against the bathroom window, grabbed her wrists and bit her ear. He then bit the woman's hand when she resisted, according to court documents. The charges stem from a January incident in which Mussare and another individual approached an employee at a sandwich stand outside of Lowe's, 249 Lowe's Blvd., according to court documents. Mussare and the unidentified man allegedly held what the employee believed to be a wooden object and a tire iron. The two men then asked the employee where the money was kept. The employee said he attempted to push the two men, at which point they allegedly struck him on the head with the objects. They fled the scene when people began to gather around the stand.
