Fencers preparing for Regionals in Canada

Tomorrow and Sunday, both the men's and women's fencing squads will travel across the border into Canada to take part in the North American Cup Open in Montreal, Quebec.

The Lions plan on taking most of their starters. Men's captain Tom Peng and women's two time All-American Wendy Hall, will be staying home due to schedule conflicts.

"This is more of a tournament to keep you in shape," Penn State coach Emmanuil Kaidanov said. "We have several fencers who want to do well. Stephanie Eim, Aaron Stuewe and Charlotte Walker are all looking to do well."

The Lions are looking to use this tournament to help them in preparation for the Mid-Atlantic/South Regional Championships on March 6-7.
