Ruggers anxious for first action vs. Nova
Hungry for competition after the winter layoff, the Penn State men's rugby team will travel to Washington D.C. to play Nova's men's club team at noon tomorrow.
The Ruggers went 11-0 in the fall season with big wins over Indiana (Pa.), Army and arch rival Navy.
Throughout the season, the Ruggers beat every team by more than 20 points.
The Ruggers have stayed in shape through the offseason by practicing between two and three times a week. The team is looking forward to playing against someone other than themselves, junior prop Matt Wyatt said.
"We are anxious to start playing," Wyatt said. "We've been practicing for a while and look forward to competing against other teams."
