Thon shatters record
Penn State students broke several money records again this year, raising $2,530,142.48 overall for the Four Diamonds Fund at the 1999 Interfraternity Council/Panhellenic Dance Marathon.

Cagers upend No. 17 Purdue
Penn State men's basketball decided to put an end to its six-game losing streak Saturday by sending the No. 17 Purdue Boilermakers and their fans home disappointed after pulling off a 78-70 upset victory at Mackey Arena.


No.1 gymmen knock off No. 5 Illinois
The Penn State men's gymnastics team proved once again this weekend why it is the top team in the country, knocking off No. 5 Illinois 224.0-222.9 at The Bryce Jordan Center.
