Police Log

  • Assault: A Penn State student reported she was assaulted in the early morning of Feb. 14 by an unknown man, the State College Police Department said.

    The suspect, who is described as a white man, 6 feet 1 inch tall and 165 pounds, approached the victim on the 200 block of South Garner Street, State College police said. He reportedly said, "You shouldn't be walking alone." When she agreed, he said it again and slapped her, giving her a black eye.

    State College police have no suspects.

  • Theft: State College resident Christine Benson reported her engagement ring was stolen between Feb. 14 and 20 from the 100 block of Oakwood Drive, State College police said.

    The diamond was valued at $2,200.

  • Theft: Penn State student Andrea Campana reported the theft of her skis, ski boots, bindings and poles from a storage area on the fourth floor of a building on the 300 block of South Pugh Street, State College police said.

    The items are valued at $670.

University police are located in the Eisenhower Parking Garage on campus.
