USG adds two town senators
The Undergraduate Student Government Senate has two new town senators. USG Senate appointed Steve Chance (senior-finance) and Jill Rashlich (junior-international politics) last week to fill the spots left open by former Town Senators Jaime Desmond and Kirsten Grenoble. "I've always been interested in student government and politics," Chance said. "I joined (the senate) rather than just being another number complaining about what's going on." Rashlich said she wanted to join the senate to become more involved and make improvements on campus. She also is a member of the International Hospitality Council and the Mid-State Literary Council and serves as the director of home conferences for Penn State Model United Nations. "I can't wait to dive into this," she said. Two issues Rashlich plans to become involved in are campus safety and alcohol awareness. USG is in the process of filling one more town senator space. Applications are available in the USG office at 203 HUB.
