Dean of Capital College plans retirement for fall
John Bruhn, provost and dean of Penn State's Capital College, said Friday he will retire from his position July 1, according to a Penn State press release.
Bruhn will continue his academic position as a professor of sociology through Fall Semester 1999.
"I feel confident that the Capital College will continue to establish a strong presence and gain recognition in the region as it evolves into a fully unified four-year college," Bruhn said in the release. "I also look forward to returning to teaching and research and to spending more time with my family."
Bruhn, who will be 65 in June, has spent almost 30 years as a higher education administrator, and eventually plans move to the Southwest.
