Neo-metal bands to play BJC
On March 22 it's going to be time to "get your boogie on." At 7:30 that night, two of neo-metal's most influential acts will be invading The Bryce Jordan Center. KORN and Rob Zombie have teamed up for what is sure to be one of the most intense concerts State College has ever seen. Coming off their highly successful "Family Values Tour," KORN's style of hip-hop-infused metal has given the group a strong fan base. KORN's latest album, Follow The Leader, has crowned KORN as the leader of this new style of rock and has spawned numerous imitators, such as Limp Bizkit. Playing with KORN will be former White Zombie leader Rob Zombie. Zombie's first solo release, Hellbilly Deluxe, is on its way to becoming the best-selling Zombie project yet and debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard Top 200 album chart. Tickets for the show will be $30.75 for reserved seating and general floor admission. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday and are available at the Center, Eisenhower Auditorium, selected Uni-Mart ticket outlets and Commonwealth Campus ticket outlets, or by calling (814) 865-5555 locally or (800) 863-3336. Wristbands will be available from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and from 8 to 9 a.m. Saturday for people who want to buy tickets at the Jordan Center box office only. --by James Conroy
