Police Log
- Drug Violation: A 16-year-old State College resident and an 18-year-old from New Jersey were caught Friday with nine small bags of marijuana in a State College Area High School bathroom, the State College Police Department said.
A maintenance person smelled smoke, and upon investigating found the two in the smoke-filled bathroom.
An investigation is continuing, according to State College police.
- Theft: Penn State student Mario Famularo reported early Friday his wallet, checks, silver watch and 25 compact discs had been taken between Thursday night and Friday morning from his car on the 100 block of Keller Street, State College police said.
The items are valued at $510.
- Theft: State College resident John Herington reported a speaker was stolen from his Jeep Friday night. The vehicle was parked on the 200 block of East Beaver Avenue.
The speaker is valued at $500.
- Theft: Penn State student Jason Zivkovic reported 35 to 40 CDs and a black CD case were taken from a party on the 700 block of East Beaver Avenue.
The CDs and case are valued at $375.
- Theft: Penn State student Barbara Ovrutsky reported her brown leather coat was stolen Friday night from Sigma Nu fraternity, 340 N. Burrowes St., Penn State police said.
The coat is valued at $300.
- Theft: A State College resident reported the driver's side rear wheel, lug nuts and tire were stolen from her black Plymouth Neon Saturday afternoon outside CVS Pharmacy at Nittany Mall, State College police said. The vehicle was resting on a jack upon her return.
Witnesses are asked to contact State College police at 234-7150.
- Theft: State College resident Richard Harter reported his white 1989 Dodge Omni stolen from the 100 block of West College Avenue between Friday night and early Saturday morning, State College police said.
The value of the loss is unknown.
