Samuel A. Gunderson, State College resident and former Penn State student, was charged Friday in connection with a series of burglaries occurring during 1998 in Ferguson Building, according to a Penn State Police Services press release.

Gunderson was charged with three counts each of burglary, criminal trespass, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and possessing instruments of crime and two counts of criminal conspiracy.

Gunderson allegedly stole computer and electronic equipment in three separate incidents in February, June and November of last year. The total value of the stolen property amounts to more than $11,000.

Penn State police also have identified a suspected accomplice in the thefts.

They added anyone who has purchased computer or electronic equipment from Gunderson may be helpful in identifying the accomplice.

Anyone with information concerning the thefts should contact Penn State police at (814) 863-1111 or the Centre County CrimeStoppers at (877) 992-7463.
