USG to hear East Halls concerns
Armed with sodas and 100 pizzas, "Undergraduate Student Government On the Road" will make a stop from 6 to 8 p.m. today in Findlay Commons to find out what is on students' minds. Topic discussions specifically concerning East Halls students are on the agenda, such as the opening of Curtin Road to Loop traffic, Matt Roan, East Halls senator, said. Same-sex partner benefits is another subject on which USG wants to gauge student opinions, Town Senator Tom Donohoe said. USG is considering adopting a resolution about this matter. Also up for discussion will be advising, class scheduling, HUB hours, campus safety, recycling and library access during construction, Mike Fazio, East Halls senator, said. Fazio said he would like to speak with freshmen who may not be very familiar with USG. "I want to let them know what USG is all about and let them voice their concerns," he said. The discussion will be held in the all-purpose room near the game room in the commons.
