Local bands to perform at bar for Thon

Crowbar, 420 E. College Ave., will play host to a benefit concert at 9 p.m. today to raise money for the Interfraternity Council/Panhellenic Dance Marathon.

The concert will feature Bluesuedegroove, The Flamin' Caucasians, Mr. Greengenes and Green Eggs and Spam, as well as some special guests. All of the bands are playing for free.

Tickets for the all-ages show are $4 with a portion of the proceeds going to the Four Diamonds Fund, which gives financial and emotional support to the families of children who have cancer.

Thon, a 48-hour dance marathon and the largest student-run philanthropy in the nation, will be held this year from Feb. 19 to 21 in Rec Hall. Last year's event raised a record $2 million for the Four Diamonds Fund.
