Preliminary Hearings

BELLEFONTE -- Cole F. Bridges, 37, of Boalsburg, was bound over for trial Wednesday on charges of simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, and harassing and stalking.

Bridges allegedly argued with a woman in October 1998 about attending a party later that night. They then drove to Burnham to pick up a rifle from a raffle and planned to go to the party from there, according to court documents.

Bridges decided he did not want to go the party, which sparked an argument because the woman wanted to attend. Bridges stopped and exited the vehicle and loaded the rifle. The woman exited the car, confronted Bridges and struggled to gain control of the rifle.

Bridges allegedly pointed the rifle at the woman and threatened her. The two continued to struggle and the woman said she was pushed to the ground.

Bridges then allegedly hit the woman's head with the rifle, which caused her to bleed.

The two returned to the car and Bridges proceeded to drive around until the situation calmed down.

  • Bridges also was bound over for trial on Wednesday on charges of aggravated assault, terroristic threats, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, and harassing and stalking.

Bridges, who was intoxicated, allegedly entered the same woman's bedroom in November 1998 and began to insult her, according to court documents.

The woman attempted to leave the room but Bridges allegedly grabbed her and pinned her on the bed.

The woman escaped, at which point he kicked her in the chest. He then struck the back of her head with his hand and punched her on the left side of her face. The victim then left the room.

  • Richard F. Fisher Jr., 34, of Bellefonte, was bound over for trial Wednesday on charges of recklessly endangering another person, harassment, simple assault, aggravated assault, disorderly conduct, and harassing and stalking.

On Jan. 17, a bouncer at Spectators Sports Bar and Restaurant, 1796 Zion Rd., Bellefonte, told two women to go to the parking lot because Fisher wanted to talk with one of them, according to court documents.

One of the women approached Fisher, who was sitting in his truck, while the other entered her own vehicle.

Fisher then threatened the woman, who then entered the other woman's vehicle. The women exited the parking lot and proceeded down Zion Road.

The women said Fisher eventually caught up to their vehicle and allegedly hit it with his truck three times. Fisher then passed the women on the left side of the road and swerved into their vehicle, causing them to lose control.

State College police then arrived at the scene and arrested Fisher, who resisted.

The charges of resisting arrest and driving under the influence were dismissed Wednesday.

  • Rebecca A. Sandomer, 26, of Lancaster, was bound over for trial Wednesday on charges of simple assault, criminal mischief, recklessly endangering another person, and harassing and stalking.

Sandomer allegedly arrived at an apartment and began to yell at the female resident. Sandomer then head-butted the woman, who was holding an 8-month-old infant at the time, according to court documents.

Sandomer then pushed the woman into another room and grabbed her by her hair. She then struck the woman's face with her fist, which knocked the woman and the infant to the ground.

Before leaving the apartment, Sandomer allegedly pulled the telephone out of the wall to prevent the victim from calling the police.
