Municipal building committee to meet

The Municipal Building Committee will meet at 7 tonight to discuss plans for the proposed municipal building.

The meeting will include discussion on the public space needs of the proposed municipal building, said State College Borough Council member Elizabeth Goreham in an e-mail.

About 10,000 square feet will be public usage space, Goreham said. Suggestions for the space range from performance arts, exhibit and study areas to meeting, media and computer rooms, she added.

The area could be beneficial for students if they attend and register their interest, Goreham said.

"More than 20,000 students live in the borough and may have interest in using this space. The municipal building is for all State College citizens," Goreham said.
