In its pre-season college baseball preview, Collegiate Magazine has named three Penn State men’s baseball players as “Players to Watch” in the Big Ten Conference.
Senior right fielder Dan Beers, junior third baseman/pitcher Shawn Fagan and junior pitcher Dan Goebeler were named in the publication.
Fagan earned second-team All-Big Ten honors last season with a .415 batting average, 12 home runs and 47 runs batted in. In addition, he tied for the conference lead in saves with seven.
Beers was a third team All-Big Ten selection, while Goebeler inherits the No. 1 spot in the pitching rotation after All-American pitcher Nate Bump was selected in the first round of the draft by the San Francisco Giants.
