No benefits for partners of same sex
Bowing to pressure from state legislators, Penn State President Graham Spanier announced Thursday the university will not offer health benefits to employees' same-sex partners this year.

    Arizona State director selected as new dean
    Douglas Anderson, director of Arizona State University's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Telecommunication, has been se-lected to be the new dean of the College of Communications. The decision awaits the approval of the Board of Trustees at its Jan. 22 meeting.
