Collegian Sports Brief
Jenny Chuasiriporn, a senior-to-be at Duke who lost to Si Ri Pak yesterday in a sudden death playoff at the U.S. Women’s Open, had the help of a Nittany Lion in her quest to become only the second amateur to win in 53 editions of the Women’s Open.
Chuasiriporn’s brother, Joey, a Penn State golfer, was her caddie throughout the epic-length tournament. On Sunday, it was Joey who helped his sister line up the 40-foot putt on the 18th that forced yesterday’s 18-hole playoff.
