Judge says University immune to taxation
A Dauphin County and Derry Township School District plea to include
the University's Hershey Medical Center on their tax rolls was
rejected.

Police search for dumpster fire clues
The State College Police Department is continuing its investigation
but has little to say about the rash of dumpster fires that began
in late April.
Lynyrd Skynyrd to perform at Center
The group, characterized by such hits as "Free Bird"
and "Saturday Night Special," will bring its classic
mix of rock 'n' roll and country to The Bryce Jordan Center.
Lab to develop lasers
The Applied Research Lab signed an agreement
with the U.S. Department of Energy's Lawrence Livermore National
Laboratory Tuesday to form a National Laser Technology Alliance,
according to a University news release.

New swimming coach has tough act to follow
Assistant men's swimming coach Bill Dorenkott has been named head coach of the women's program. Dorenkott replaces Bob Krimmel, who has taken an administrative position.
