This summer, numerous construction projects involving major roads going in and out of the Centre Region could mean big headaches for area motorists.

Following the George Clinton and the P-Funk All Stars concert last night, marijuana legalization advocate Alan Gordon and about 10 others staged a sit-in on the Rec Hall floor to protest marijuana laws and appeal to the White House to reverse them.

Tomorrow Eco-Action and the Penn State Cycling Club are holding the "Critical Mass Bike Ride," to promote pollutant-free transpor-tation, safer riding conditions for cyclists and more bicycle routes.

Indian student group in limbo
The Indian Students Association (ISA) constitution states that two-thirds of its members must be present at officer elections. This presents a problem -- the organization is in danger of disintegration. After a successful past year, membership has blossomed from about 90 members to about 150 members, said Manav Nayyar, ISA president.

Retired professor Julian Heicklen failed to appear yesterday for his scheduled arraignment, the Centre County Court Administrator's office said, therefore the administrator's office will issue a warrant for Heicklen's arrest.

Couple donates scholarships
John Leone, a University alumnus, and his wife, Willie, will donate $350,000 to the University for an endowed football position and two undergraduate scholarships, according to a Department of Public Information news release.
