Summer Stafford Loans

Students who will be attending Summer Session 1998 and are interested in obtaining a Federal Stafford Loan can begin requesting consideration on April 1, 1998, by calling the Office of Student Aid voice response system at (814) 865-6301. Select menu option No. 2.

America Reads Work-Study Students

All Federal Work-Study students who worked for the America Reads program in 1997-98 are cordially invited to attend a spring celebration in recognition of your important contribution to the community. Join us for storytelling by Steve Herb (PSU Education Librarian), refreshments, awards and fun. 6:30 to 8 p.m. April 21 in 207 Shields.

ASSIGNMENT OFFICE:

The Assignment Office is no longer accepting housing contracts for University Park housing from undergraduate students who will be attending Fall Semester 1998. Those students interested in having their name placed on a waiting list for on-campus housing should come to the Assignment Office to do so.

The deadline to cancel Academic Year 1998-99 contracts has been extended through May 1. Students interested in cancelling their contract should come to the Assignment Office to complete a cancellation form.

The Spring Semester 1998 Final Exam Schedule is now available by accessing the Registrar's home page at www.psu.edu/registrar.

ADMISSIONS:

Transferring Credits to Penn State

Students planning to take courses at other colleges and universities should contact the Admissions Office at (814) 865-5471 to schedule an appointment for a course evaluation of those credits. Appointments will begin April 6.
