Firefighters rescue victim with Jaws of Life
The Alpha Fire Co. responded yesterday morning to a two-car accident at the intersection of Pugh Street and Fairmount Avenue, according to a news release from the fire company.
One victim was trapped in one of the vehicles and Alpha Community Ambulance Service personnel extracted the victim by using the Jaws of Life, according to the release.
The extraction process took about 15 minutes, according to the release.
About 20 firefighters responded to assist in the accident, according to the release.
The State College Police Department also assisted the fire company and the ambulance association.
