Sluggers rained out in Philadelphia area

Inclement weather forced the cancellation of four games over the weekend for the Penn State baseball team.

The Nittany Lions (8-9) were scheduled to take on Temple at noon on Saturday, and La Salle yesterday at noon. The Philadelphia area was hit hard last week by consistent rain that lasted into the weekend and caused poor playing conditions on each of the schools' fields.

At this time the games have not been rescheduled. Penn State last played on March 14, against Miami of Ohio in Winter Park, Fla.
