Taking a chance with USG events can make students winnersDo you want to WIN A FREE TELEVISION? Do you like to GAMBLE? If you said "yes" to one or both questions, come to Las Vegas Night from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. today in the HUB Fishbowl. |
USG represents the undergraduate student body at the University Park campus. USG also can be reached electronically via E-mail at usg@psu.edu or through its World Wide Web site at www.clubs.psu.edu/usg. |
Enjoy a fun-filled night of mock-gambling, including poker, blackjack
and roulette. Silently bid your winnings on the free TELEVISION
or many other great prizes that have been donated by numerous
local businesses.
Some of the other prizes include: a gift certificate to the Penn
State Bookstore, a free manicure, free movie passes, free passes
to Gold's Gym or cold hard $CASH$.
There also will be a disc jockey and FREE refreshments. This event
is open to ALL students at Penn State and is co-sponsored by Undergraduate
Student Government's Programming Department and the Association
of Residence Hall Students
. The Programming Department is a high-energy branch of USG designed to bring free, fun-filled, nonalcoholic events to the entire student body. These activities are meant to provide an alternative to drinking on the weekends for those students who do not drink, or those students who just want to try something new and different. So far this year, USG has brought you numerous events that have been funded by our very own fund-raising Business Department at no cost to you. The Programming Department is always looking for new ideas for exciting and fun programs. |

contest or the NCAA Campus Cup Football Tour which included many

both held in East Halls last semester.
Regardless of whether or not you have attended any of the other
