George Clinton coming to Rec Hall next month

As if asteroids weren't enough, now the mother ship is preparing to descend on State College.

George Clinton and the P-Funk All Stars will perform at 8 p.m. Monday, April 20 at Rec Hall.

Tickets for the show will go on sale at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday for students and Wednesday for the general public at the Eisenhower Auditorium box office. Admission prices are $18 for students with a valid University ID and $20 for the general public.

Tickets can also be purchased by phone beginning March 25 at 863-0255 or (800) 863-0255.

One of the most influential figures in R&B history, Clinton's career spans more than 30 years and includes such funk-music hits as "Atomic Dog." Many of his most popular beats and bass lines have been sampled by prominent rap artists such as Snoop Doggy Dogg.
