Council honors IFC's achievements

The University's Interfraternity Council received three awards at the Northeast Interfraternity Council conference March 8 in Cherry Hill, N.J.

Two of the awards recognized IFC for its academic achievement and for its education and leadership programs. IFC also received the Lunsford Award for Excellence, which recognizes IFC as an outstanding fraternity council in the northeastern region of the country.

"They're doing some really great things"

- Andrea Gaspardino, director of Greek and Community Life

Andrea Gaspardino, director of Greek and Community Life, said IFC has won the Lunsford Award for the past 11 years.

"I think it reflects positively on them," Gaspardino said. "They're doing some outstanding things."

IFC President Brad Nestico said the credit for the awards goes to the outgoing council.

"It inspires me to work diligently to uphold the standards the council has developed through the years," Nestico said.
