Preliminary Hearings

BELLEFONTE -- A 20-year-old Pittsburgh resident was bound over for trial yesterday by District Justice Carmine Prestia on charges of receiving stolen property, theft by deception and criminal mischief, according to court documents.

Marketa Bynum allegedly sold back several stolen textbooks to the Penn State Bookstore, according to the documents.
A 24-year-old State College resident was bound over for trial yesterday by Prestia on charges of accidents involving damage to an attended vehicle or property, according to court documents.

Jeannie M. Lee allegedly was traveling on South Atherton Street when her car hit another car from behind, according to the documents.

When the other driver stopped to exchange information, Lee continued, leaving the scene of the crime.

The car sustained more than $700 worth of damage, according to the documents.
