Man arraigned Friday on harassment charges
FERGUSON TOWNSHIP -- A 37-year-old Johnstown resident was arraigned
Friday by District Justice Bradley Lunsford on charges of terroristic
threats and harassment by communications, according to court documents.
Val O. Staley allegedly made several phone calls Thursday night
to the residence of his ex-wife in State College, threatening
to kill her and her new boyfriend, according to court documents.
In the phone calls, Staley told his ex-wife "she was nothing
but trouble" and threatened to come to her residence and
kill them, according to the documents.
His ex-wife called the police and she said she took the threats
seriously because of Staley's violent history, according to the
documents.
Lunsford set bail at $7,500 and Staley is currently residing in
Centre County Prison awaiting his Wednesday morning preliminary
hearing, according to the documents.
