Police seek abduction suspect
A 9-year-old boy reported a white man attempted to abduct him yesterday afternoon on the 900 block of Metz Avenue, according to a State College Police Department news release.
The driver of a green van with wood-paneled sides reportedly prompted
the minor to enter the vehicle, according to the release.
The child refused to enter the van and the driver reportedly lunged
for the child, according to the release.
The driver was described as a bald, white man in his 50s with
blue eyes and a beard that extended down to his chest, according
to the release.
He was wearing a dark-green coat, blue jeans, green combat boots
and round wire frame glasses, according to the release.
Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call
State College police at 234-7150.
