BELLEFONTE -- A 26-year-old resident of Philpsburg was ordered
on Wednesday by District Justice Allen Sinclair to stand trial
for charges of rape and involuntary deviate sexual intercourse,
according to court documents.
The victim stated in interviews that he would meet with Edward
Eugene Schickling of Philipsburg who forcefully made him engage
in sexual activities against his will, according to the documents.
- In another preliminary hearing Wednesday, Sinclair ordered a
39-year-old resident of Philpsburg to stand trial for charges
of corruption of minors, according to court documents.
Rebecca Lynn Greenawalt of Philpsburg had been giving their then
15-year-old daughter alcohol and marijuana for the past year,
according to the court documents.
Other acquaintances of the victim, who were also minors, were
given marijuana on various occasions from Greenawalt, according
to the documents.
- A 47-year-old State College resident was ordered Wednesday by
District Justice Daniel Hoffman to stand trial for charges of
homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence, failing
to keep his vehicle within a single lane of traffic and reckless
driving, according to the documents.
Paul F. Johnstonbaugh Jr. unintentionally hit a person on bicycle
while he was driving on the 900 block of Fox Hill Road, according
to court documents. His blood alcohol level was 0.252 percent,
according to the documents.
