USG elects new director of lobbying department
The Undergraduate Student Government Senate elected Art Spicciati
to be the USG lobbying director Tuesday night at a meeting.
Spicciati (sophomore-political science) will fill the vacancy
left by Robert Myers, who is Gov. Tom Ridge's nominee for student
trustee on the University Board of Trustees.
Spicciati has been an active part of the lobbying department for
about a year, said Will O'Keefe, town senator and chairman of
the Senate Appointments Review Board.
Among his current projects with the lobbying department, Spicciati
has been planning a USG lobbying trip in March to Harrisburg.
Spicciati said he will hold the position until shortly after the
upcoming USG election when the elected USG president will appoint
a new executive staff.
