- Burglary: Edward Weil, Richard Michalek and Jonathan Shomody
reported that their apartment on the 500 block of South Fraser
Street was burglarized yesterday morning, the State College Police
Department said. A color television, video game equipment and
games, 250 compact discs, three snowboards, snowboard bindings
and boots, three pairs of Calvin Klein jeans and six sweatshirts
were stolen, State College police said. The estimated value of
the stolen items is $6,000.
- Missing Persons: Jason A. Brown and Michael J. Yearick
were reported missing yesterday from Stepping Stone, 334 S. Burrowes
St., State College police said. The pair was last seen leaving
the youth center about 1:50 a.m. Saturday, State College police
said. Brown is described as a 16-year-old, 5-foot-8-inch, white
boy weighing 150 pounds, and Yearick as a 18-year-old, 5-foot-9-inch,
white man weighing 148 pounds, State College police said. If anyone
has any information, they should call the State College Police
Department at 231-7150.
- Robbery: Two boys were assaulted and robbed Saturday night
in two separate incidents by a 16-year-old male suspect and others,
near 340 E. College Ave., State College police said. The first
victim, a 15-year-old boy, was punched in the head and hit on
the head, face and back at about 6 p.m. Saturday, State College
police said. His wallet was also taken, State College police said.
The juvenile went to Centre Community Hospital for injuries, State
College police said. The second victim, also a 15-year-old boy,
was put in a headlock and shoved against a wall by the suspects
about 6:30 p.m. Saturday, State College police said. The second
victim said $10 in cash was stolen from him, State College police
said. He later went to Centre Community Hospital, State College
police said.
- Simple Assault: A 20-year-old State College resident reported
Saturday that he woke up outside on the ground near Beaver Stadium
Saturday, State College police said. The victim reported that
he had attended a party the night before but could not remember
how he ended up at Beaver Stadium, State College police said.
There were visible swellings and abrasions on his hands, and his
coat and keys were missing, State College police said.
- Theft: Carol Foster of State College reported Saturday
that her 14-year-old son's snowboard was stolen Saturday evening
from a location outside the lounge at Tussey Mountain Ski Resort,
State College police said. The estimated value of the snowboard
is $500.
- Theft: Michele M. Irwin, a University student, reported
Saturday that her blue-purple fleece was stolen early Saturday
morning from Phi Kappa Sigma fraternity, 234 E. Beaver Ave., the
State College police said. The estimated value of the coat is
$130.
