- Arrest Report: Charges were filed with District Justice Carmine Prestia against Marketa Bynum, 22, of Pittsburgh and Ndidi Moses, 20, of Seymour, Conn. yesterday for selling stolen textbooks in November 1997, University Police Services said.
- Arrest Report: Charges were filed with Prestia against David C. Zimmer, 20, of Abingdon, Md., yesterday for possession of a small amount of marijuana during a Dec. 9, 1997 concert at The Bryce Jordan Center, University police said.
- Drug Law Violation: University police discovered a controlled substance while assisting University housing personnel in removing a former student's belongings from Nittany Apartments, University police said.
University police obtained and executed a search warrant on the apartment and a University-owned vehicle that contained items from the apartment to determine if any more contraband could be discovered, University police said.
The incident is still under investigation.
- Hit and run: Early Wednesday morning, a tan vehicle operated by a young blonde woman driving eastbound on Bayberry Drive lost control on the snowcovered road, said the State College Police Department.
The car went over a curb at 865 Bayberry Drive and ran over a mailbox, a post, and a tree, State College police said. The resident who watched it happen reported to police that this was the third incident of damage resulting from drivers at the address, State College police said.
- Theft: A visitor to the area reported yesterday the theft of a laptop computer Wednesday afternoon from the first-floor meeting room at the Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel, University police said.
The incident is still under investigation and the value of the computer is $7,500.
- Theft: A student's credit card and $40 cash were stolen from a locker Tuesday morning in McCoy Natatorium, University police said. The card was then later used at several businesses in State College, with expenses totaling $785, University police said.

- Theft: A student's wallet and credit card were stolen Wednesday night from the locker room at McCoy Natatorium, University police said. The card was later used at local businesses to charge $750 in merchandise, University police said.
The incident is still under investigation.
- Theft: Two lockers in the men's locker room were broken into at Rec Hall between 10 and 11 a.m. Wednesday.
The estimated value of the items is about $500.
