Preliminary Hearings
- BELLEFONTE -- A 32-year-old Upper Marlboro, Md. resident was ordered
to stand trial yesterday by District Justice Ronald J. Horner
on charges of possession of a controlled substance with the intent
to deliver, according to court documents. Cortland Ormond Dugger allegedly claimed ownership of drug paraphernalia
and 10 marijuana plants in a Boalsburg home owned by Jennifer
Marie Hunsinger, according to the documents.
- A 24-year-old Wyckoff, N.J., resident was ordered to stand trial
yesterday by District Justice Daniel Hoffman on charges of possession
of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and possession
of drug paraphernalia, according to court documents. Jamison S. Carroll allegedly possessed various kinds of drugs,
including marijuana, and drug paraphernalia in a local hotel room,
according to the documents.
- A 29-year-old Fallentimber, Pa., resident was ordered to stand
trial yesterday by District Justice Allen Sinclair on charges
of aggravated assault by a motor vehicle while driving under the
influence, reckless driving, driving under the influence and other
summary offenses, according to court documents. David Howard Sanders allegedly drove into the no-passing zone
and struck an oncoming car head-on, according to the documents.
Responding officers on the scene said they detected a strong scent
of alcohol coming from the vehicle, according to the documents.
- A 19-year-old University student was ordered to stand trial
yesterday by District Justice Carmine Prestia on charges of possession
of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, according to court documents. Scott M. Simko allegedly possessed a small amount of marijuana
and a ceramic pipe while he was in a State College alley, according
to the documents.
