Fairs aim to attract students

Local organizations and University students will try to get other students more involved during the next two days.

The Student Volunteer Fair will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. today in the HUB Ballroom, said Cindye Rudy, staff assistant at the AT&T Center for Service Leadership.

Rudy predicted several hundred students will attend today's fair, which is sponsored by the Center for Service Leadership. About 50 community service organizations will be represented.

There will be more than 160 different organizations at the Student Involvement Fair, which will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. tomorrow in the HUB Ballroom and Fishbowl, said Bob Brouse, coordinator of the Involvement Fair. He predicts 3,000 students will attend the Involvement Fair, which will be sponsored by Unions and Student Activities and the University Park Allocation Committee.
