Police suspect man took false identity to receive medications from hospital
A 25-year-old State College man is being held in Centre County
Prison for allegedly using a false name to receive drugs from
Centre Community Hospital, the State College Police Department
said.
Rodney Alan Miklosik was admitted to the hospital after entering
the emergency room complaining of jaw pain, State College police
said. He told the admissions clerk his name was Ryan Lingle. The
attending physician gave him penicillin and other drugs, State
College police said.
A State College police officer was in the emergency room following
up on a case and recognized Miklosik from prior police contact,
State College police said. In addition to possible jail time,
Miklosik owes the hospital $3,000 in fees, State College police
said.
