Weis Market robbed

FERGUSON TOWNSHIP -- An armed man robbed Weis Market, 1471 Martin St., Jan. 6 and escaped with an undetermined amount of money, according to a Ferguson Township Police Department news release.

The suspect entered the store, approached the manager's area, pointed a silver semi-automatic handgun and demanded money. He then fled on foot through the front door, according to the release. The suspect was last seen walking down Martin Street.

He is described as a white man, 45 to 55 years of age, about 6 feet tall and 160 pounds, according to the release. He was wearing a blue baseball hat with white lettering, a flannel shirt and dark jeans, according to the release.

Anyone with information regarding this robbery is asked to call Ferguson Township police at 237-1172.
