Housing issue incites students
After more than 250 students and residents argued about student housing at last night's public hearing, the State College Borough Council decided to vote on the proposed student housing amendments no later than May 1.

ACLU rallies students to meeting
By the time they got to the State College Municipal Building, 118 S. Fraser St., the ever-growing mass of students concerned with the proposed State College Borough Council amendments overflowed the meeting room and streamed down the stairs.

Atmosphere charged in student-filled council room
The State College Borough Council begins every meeting with the words of the Pledge of Allegiance of the United States. Under that flag are displayed the United States Constitution, the Bill of Rights and the right to free speech under the First Amendment.

More residents choosing to live farther from downtown area
