Book sale starts tomorrow
Finally, somewhere to find real bargains on books.
The 36th Annual American Association of University Women Used
Book and Record Sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. tomorrow
through Wednesday in the HUB Fishbowl and Ballroom.
More than 100,000 books and 2,000 records will be on sale. The
proceeds will benefit more than 20 different local educational
projects, including the Schlow Memorial Library, Women's Resource
Center and the AAUW Educational Foundation Program. Last year,
the event raised more than $73,000.
Sale dates to remember are half-price day on Tuesday and Bag Day
on Wednesday, when a grocery bag of books costs $5.
