"Mind, heart and soul" is Duquesne University's motto, but the Dukes will probably need much more than that to beat the streaking Penn State men's tennis team at 3:30 p.m. today at the Penn State Tennis Center.

With the bases loaded, Lion left fielder Michael Campo glared wide-eyed at the 1-2 pitch delivered by Bucknell's hurler Jason Pfannenbaecker, hoping he could send the pitch over the right field wall and into the record books.

Nittany Lion men's volleyball elder statesmen Ivan Contreras, Jason Kepner and Jake Yanchar play their final regular-season home match against East Stroudsburg at 7:30 p.m. today in Rec Hall.

Lady sluggers play next games close to home
The Penn State softball team gets a break from airports, hotels and eating out on its road trip today. The team also will take a breather from Big Ten play when it travels Route 45 to play Bucknell in a doubleheader.

Division II Icers claw way to top
The 1996-97 hockey season for the Division II Icers was a successful one. They posted a 26-3-1 record, went to a national and regional tournament and did it all in anonymity.
