- Burglary: John-Michael Ruddy of 320 E. Beaver Ave.
reported Sunday someone entered his building between last Thursday
and Friday and took his satin-gray mountain bicycle, the State
College Police Department said.
The estimated value of the bicycle is $700.
- Simple assault: A University student reported Sunday
that a group of intoxicated people repeatedly punched him while
he was taking out the garbage at 2:30 that morning, State College
police said.
The student was treated and released from Centre Community Hospital,
police said.
- Theft: A University student reported Friday afternoon
that his bicycle was stolen sometime between Dec. 15, 1996, and
last Tuesday from outside Deike Building, University Police Services
said.
The estimated value of the bicycle is $125.
- Theft: A University student reported Friday afternoon
that his bicycle was stolen earlier that morning from the lower
quad of West Halls, University police said.
The estimated value of the bicycle is $100.
- Theft from motor vehicle: Kimberly Hicks of 301 Locust
Lane reported yesterday morning someone had broken into her vehicle
parked outside her residence and had taken a Sony Discman player,
a diamond bracelet, 30 compact discs and a teddy bear, State College
police said.
The estimated value of the items is $1,465. Police are still investigating
the incident.
