- Criminal Mischief: An employee of the Bon-Ton in the Nittany
Mall, reported Monday that 26 prom dresses were slashed with a
knife or razor inside the store sometime last Friday, the State
College police said.
The damage is estimated at $2,000.
Police have no suspects.
- Criminal Mischief: State College police reported Monday
that an unknown person wrote racial slurs, foul language and drew
a swastika on the sidewalk with whipped cream on the 300 block
of Calder Way outside Campus Casino.
Police have no suspects.
- Criminal Mischief: A University employee reported that
someone caused two vending machines to malfunction on the ground
floor of Hastings Hall by pouring a salt solution into them between
Friday morning and yesterday, University Police Services said.
The amount of the damage is unknown.
- Drug Possession: Criminal charges for drug possession were
filed Monday against James R. Wright of 707 Packer Hall at the
District Attorney's office, University police said.
Wright was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana
and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.
- Theft: A University employee reported Monday that 142 feet
of carpet runners were stolen from a hallway in Rec Hall between
5 p.m. Saturday and 4 p.m. Sunday, University Police Services
said.
The estimated value of the runners is $1,600.
- Theft: A University student reported Monday that his bicycle
was stolen from outside Wartik Lab sometime since November, University
police said.
The estimated value of the bicycle is $250.
- Theft: Drew Conner of 215 W. Fairmount Ave. reported Monday
that his black 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee was stolen Saturday night
from the parking lot of Centre Optical Services, 507 Locust Lane,
State College police said.
There are no suspects but the investigation is continuing, police
said.
