- Fire: University Police Services received a call Saturday
that a fire alarm went off in Stuart Hall Saturday. The investigation
revealed some trash was burning on the floor of the janitor's
room, University police said.
There was no damage.
- Harassment: A University student reported Saturday
that someone placed a harassing message on his door on the fourth
floor of Holmes Hall, University police said.
The incident occurred Saturday between 2:30 and 9:30 a.m.
- Theft: An employee of The Bon-Ton Department Store
at Nittany Mall reported Sunday that an adult and a juvenile were
caught shoplifting several items, the State College Police Department
said. Both were issued citations and released.
The value of the items is $116.
- Vandalism: A maintenance man at University Terrace
Apartments, 825 Bellaire Ave., reported yesterday that an unidentified
person broke into a maintenance room after 5 p.m. Friday, State
College police said. The door to the room sustained damage and
the deadbolt was broken. A fire extinguisher was discharged and
profanities were written in caulking on a table. Fluorescent tubes
were broken and a box of records was spilled, State College police
said.
The estimated value of the damage is unknown and police have no
suspects.
