Local pilot's body found after crash The body of Dr. Richard Allen of Sayre, was recovered by Pennsylvania state police yesterday afternoon after his plane crashed Saturday night in the Hammersley Wild Area in Potter County. Tuition break casualty of merger Many medical center employees are feeling the shock of the University's plan to phase out the 75 percent tuition reduction for those employees who are transferring to the Penn State Geisinger Health System. Faculty Senate Committee changes ESACT requisite The committee voted on a three credit flexible requirement yesterday. That means when the new general education system is implemented, students will have the choice to take either all health education courses, all ESACT courses or a combination of the two. Financial difficulties close Pizza Hut's doors Pizza lovers will have one less menu to choose from when international chain Pizza Hut closes the doors to its 244 W. Profits from recycling to benefit marathon All profits from the recycling of aluminum and steel cans at the University from Jan. 20 to Feb. 14 will be donated to the Interfraternity Council/Panhellenic Dance Marathon, to benefit the Four Diamonds Fund at the University's Hershey Medical Center. Acting out life lessons A three scene interactive play, "The Morning After," was sponsored by the Center for Women's Students and the Office of Health Promotion and Education. It served to educate students with many street-smart tips on how to party safely and avoid sexual assault. Spanier addresses Hershey-Geisinger, Dickinson School of Law at meeting Appearing before the University Faculty Senate for the first time since the mergers with Dickinson School of Law and Geisinger Health System, University President Graham Spanier yesterday answered questions from faculty senators. Survey says: class attendence loses to sleep A Penn State Pulse survey on class attendance at the University, conducted by the Student Affairs Assessment Office, showed more students tend to cut daily classes scheduled before 9:30 a.m., and those classes on Fridays. USG changes election rules and regulations Candidates in the upcoming Undergraduate Student Government elections will see their spending limits rise, but the number of posters students see on campus may decrease, according to the USG Elections Code passed at the USG Senate meeting last night.
