Borough passes proposal
Despite the adamant disapproval of council President Tom Daubert and council member Janet Knauer, the revised edition of the Rental Permit Revocation Proposal and new amendments to that edition were passed by the State College Borough Council last night.

Center yields burning Bush
What initially promised to be a three course banquet at the Bryce Jordan Center last night actually turned out to be nothing more than a late-night snack. Bush did their part and brought the beer, while the Goo Goo Dolls served the dip and No Doubt, the cheese.

Despite isolation, State College grows more colorful
State College is just like many other small college towns, with its isolated location and its quaint little shops. But while many students come here to learn about the world and see different cultures, State College may not be teaching them about diversity in the true sense of the word.

Dole's political strength in Pa. questioned
Although U.S. Sen. Bob Dole, R-Kan., appeared in good spirits during his visit to Hershey last Wednesday, some were questioning the senator's political strength in the state. Recent polls have indicated the Senate majority leader is trailing President Clinton in the Keystone State.
