But some students at the Wilkes-Barre Campus discovered buying some used books could put extra cash in instructors' pockets. Laxers walkin' on SUNY-shine, 11-8 If the men's lacrosse team had any hopes of making the NCAA tournament this year, it needed to beat SUNY-Stony Brook, a team the Lions manhandled last year, 20-4. Spikers split pair on weekend trip Between Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne and Ball State -- the men's volleyball team's opponents this weekend -- there was one main difference. IPFW didn't block well while Ball State did. Netmen badger Wisconsin, colonize RMC Lion freshman Mike Griesser stared down his opponent with a look that could kill. His opponent was Wisconsin's John Thomsen, and the look was spurred by a questionable call on a short volley Griesser had dropped on Thomsen's side of the net. Opponents can't derail lady laxers The women's lacrosse locomotive just keeps rolling along as the No. 3 Lady Lions (7-2) ended its weekend tour with a sweep, defeating No. 15 Lehigh (5-2) and No. 9 Dartmouth (5-3). The Lady Lions have won seven straight since the initial two-loss start of the season.
