Entenberg, Kilpela win USG election
University students will enjoy the services of the HUB 24 hours a day and a reduction in their costs to entertainment events starting the 1996-97 academic year if Sharon Entenberg and Ed Kilpela have their way.

University prepares alumni for government
His office closely resembles a Penn State alumni shop. Pictures of Beaver Stadium and Old Main fill the walls along with a list of the football teams that the '82 and '86 National Championship Nittany Lions defeated. His blue and white pride spills out in story after story he tells about his days in Happy Valley. He is definitely proud to be a Penn State alumnus.

A Carlisle man was arraigned and committed to Centre County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail Tuesday for forcing a University student to withdraw money from an ATM machine and give it to him on Feb. 4.

University Police Services is looking for Dale Edward Beck, 32, of Port Matilda in connection with a protection from abuse order, according to a news release.

The 18-year-old Mike Griesser with long sideburns, sprouting curly blond hair, and a weathered leather jacket has come a long way since the days of his youth.

DeJuliis' work ethic, committment give her winning edge
Anyone who has seen Lady Lion lacrosse attacker Michele DeJuliis play would agree that she plays the game as if she has a personal covenant with the ball and the back of the opponent's net. After all, in her three-year career at Penn State she has led the team in scoring and has placed in the top 20 of scorers in the league.

Over the next four days at the NCAA fencing championships in New Haven, Conn., 10 Penn State fencers will be carrying the hopes of an entire team with them. A team of 30 fencers got them this far -- now as 10, they must defend the Lions' NCAA title.

With a seemingly insurmountable 14-8 game-one lead and serving for game point, the Loyola (Chicago) Ramblers were on the verge of shocking the No. 11 ranked Penn State men's volleyball team last night in Rec Hall. However, Lion middle blocker Kevin Hourican registered a kill which only seemed to prolong the inevitable.

After playoff excitement, AL West no laughing matter
Last year, when baseball was realigned, people began to snicker when they saw the AL West. But when the game needed a savior, it came from none other than the division that was once the butt of its jokes.
